Q . Who is eligible to apply for a scholarship?

A . Any Jewish adult between the ages of 18-36 interested in attending a summer program to help further their Jewish education and experience

Q . Must the applicant be observant or belong to any particular denomination?

A . The scholarship fund was created to enable all young adults increase their level of knowledge and experience regardless of their affiliation.

Q . Will the funds be paid to me directly?

A . Once your application has been approved, the fund will contact the educational program and arrange payment through our offices.

Q . Are levels of scholarship is available?

A . The maximum we offer is a grant to cover session tuition worth up to $400. Any session fees in excess of that amount will be borne by the applicant. Subject to need, we will cover all or a portion of the session tuition.

Q . Will the Fund cover expenses other than tuition?

A . No. In order to enable the maximum number of people to benefit from this special opportunity, we expect peripheral and travel expenses to be borne by the applicant.

Q . Is there a fee to apply for a scholarship?

A . No fee is charged for applying. We do request however, that you apply only if you are seriously considering attending a program. There are only a limited number of scholarships and we’d like all of them to be used.

Q . How long will it take for me to find out whether my application has been approved?

A . The committee overseeing disbursements meets bi monthly to review applications. Depending on when you apply, you will hear from us regarding your application. To spare you the need to supply additional information, please fill out the application form in its entirety.

Q . Will I need to supply financial statements to support my request for assistance?

A . No. We will review the information you provide us and contact your references and make a determination on that basis.

Q . Will any of my personal information be shared?

A . All information you provide is confidential and will never be shared with any individual or company for any reason.
